Don't Weight to Lose Approach to Nutrition:

We strive to teach practical changes in dieting habits in order to increase the likelihood of adherence to long term behavior changes.  Believe it or not, most of the foods that are on the weekly menus of most New Orleanians are quite healthy.  Most of New Orleans cuisine is based on Soul Food recipes.  If we take a delve into history, we can conclude that many of these recipes are derived from slaves who combined left over foods with African styles of cooking.  If we dig deeper, we can see that African food is based on the Mediterranean diet which is a very health way of eating.
